2024 version overview

OCTOBER 2025 - 4th Regional Connectathon

From October 27 to 30, 2025, in San Salvador, El Salvador, the fourth edition of this important meeting will take place within the framework of the Pan-American Digital Health Route (PH4H).

The Conectatón is a unique opportunity to demonstrate our region's capabilities in the secure and efficient exchange of clinical information. Our goal is to ensure that health data is always available for those who need it, when they need it.

This event brings together representatives from the countries that are part of the PH4H, RACSEL members, information technology experts, health authorities, and technical teams from participating countries. Together, we foster collaboration and innovation to build a more interoperable and connected regional health system.

Connectathon Tracks

The 4th Conectatón is designed to address the most significant challenges in digital health in the region. For this reason, we've defined two main tracks that will guide the event's activities, focusing on the essential enablers for building a more connected and efficient regional health system.

Track 1 - Cross Border Continuity of Care: This track focuses on one of the pillars of interoperability: ensuring patients have access to their health information wherever they are. Our goal is to demonstrate how a patient can access their International Patient Summary (IPS) even if they are in a country different from their own. We aim not only for them to be able to view their data but also to have the ability to update their information and carry it with them at all times, securely and efficiently.

Track 2 - Digital vaccination certificates: This track focuses on one of the most relevant global challenges: the validation and interoperability of digital vaccination certificates. We will demonstrate how these certificates can be securely validated in international travel scenarios, ensuring compliance with the highest security standards, established trust frameworks, and interoperable formats. The objective is to facilitate mobility by ensuring vaccination information is reliable and accessible, regardless of the country.
