With support from the IDB and PAHO, Peru's Ministry of Health \u2014a member country of the Latin America and Caribbean Network for Digital Health (RACSEL)\u2014 held its first connectathon, called the \"Peru IPS Connectathon 2025,\" marking a key step forward in health interoperability. The event made it possible to validate the secure exchange of clinical data and strengthen regional collaboration within the framework of the Pan American Health Digital Highway (PH4H).<\/p>

Ahead of holding its first Peru IPS Connectathon 2025, Peru's Ministry of Health took part in working sessions with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), where the upcoming PH4H 2025 Connectathon, scheduled for October in El Salvador, was presented.\u00a0<\/p>

During these sessions, the Peruvian team shared its progress in digital health and its preparations for the national connectathon, demonstrating the country's commitment to more connected, secure, and people-centered systems.<\/p>

Peru IPS Connectathon 2025<\/strong><\/p>

In a milestone for the country's digital health, Peru held its first Peru IPS Connectathon 2025, an event organized by the General Office of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Health (MINSA) in coordination with the Secretariat of Government and Digital Transformation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) of Peru, with support from the IDB and PAHO.\u00a0<\/p>

The event marked a step forward in health interoperability, establishing Peru as an active member of the Latin America and Caribbean Network for Digital Health (RACSEL), and made it possible to test the implementation of the International Patient Summary (IPS), an international standard that ensures the secure and efficient exchange of clinical information between different institutions and countries. It also became a fundamental contribution to the Pan American Health Digital Highway (PH4H), a regional initiative that seeks to strengthen the use of health data and prepare systems for future emergencies.<\/p>

During the Peru IPS Connectathon 2025, the Digital Health Sector Agenda toward 2030 was also officially presented, a policy framework that sets out the roadmap for a more modern, integrated, and people-centered health system.\u00a0<\/p>
